Prince St., New York City

I carry a camera wherever I go.
I look at everything—so much about the world interests me;
I can’t ever get quite enough of looking.
I see something wonderful and I make a photograph.

When walking in just about any city in the world, and certainly in my hometown of Manhattan, there are times when only women are in sight. At these times it’s truly a woman’s world; I have been documenting this fascinating “women’s world” for a long time. I’ve made images of women on the street, in subways, restaurants, museums, and shops. As I look back at these photographs, it’s easy to imagine that men have become obsolete.

I know, there are men in the distance but I loved the trio of painter, subject and painting.
